COME ONE COME ALL!!! to the 4th annual fund ride to raise awareness and funds for research on epilepsy.
The ride will take place in L'isle Jourdain on SUNDAY MAY 27th, and you can ride the TENACIOUS -117kms with a few of Marion's training bumps or the ROTARIEN -58kms with a few smaller bumps!

The proceeds from the 'Marion Clignet' granfondo we organized in May 2011 are in! 15000 euros for research on epilepsy.
13500 euros will go the french foundation for research on epilepsy and 1500 will go to the Rotary club of Lisle Jourdain for the various associations they work with.
We will present the check to the Foundation at the town hall of Lisle Jourdain on October 17 at 18h30.

The Marion Clignet FUNDRIDE FOR EPILEPSY 2012

Our 2012 ride will take place SUNDAY MAY 27...you'll have the choice between
two rides-'La Rotarienne' which will be approx 60kms and 'La Tenace' approx 120kms
All benefits from the ride will as always go to research on epilepsy.
AND as always you'll find Lucien Georgelin's fruit gels for the effort and the Chocolaterie de Larra's chocolate for the comfort after the effort! come one Come all!

20kms In PARIS!

Ill be running with VICTOR BLOT's team Run against epilepsie in the 20kms of Paris on October 9th 2011, and so far I have 71 team mates 5 of whom have epilepsy!

NEW NEWS!!!!! Im launching a women's specific cycling line via Ondaworld

After the Eurobyke show in early september you can see 'Marion's' line at the Paris bike show September 16-19. The clothes are made by Ondaworld with my designs and will carry my signature.

The Marion Clignet fund ride for epilepsy has been moved up one week to SATURDAY MAY 21 at Lisle Jourdain. All proceeds will be donated to research on epilepsy come join us for a great day on the bike followed by lunch and more fun!

quick update on my last ventures...Raced up the plat d'adet to 1800m from the town of St Lary...although feeling like I had a dead cow attached to my ankle as I ran I somehow felt a little better after km 4 and cruised on to finish 1st in the women's field in the 13kms race. Following week was a 26kms mountain race over a really technical course beginning in St Pe de Bigorre. I finished 1st woman and 8th man though if I improve on my descending while running I could've maybe popped into top 4-5. In any case I couldn't walk properly for the next 4 days! Last week I raced a category 2 men's race in Saverdun-hotter than hot and I managed to win and drank 3L of water at the finish! Monday Im off to my first international triathlon in GERARDMER in the VOSGES region of France. Will keep ya posted! from there it's onto Berlin....

Tour De France with Marty Jemison cycling tours!!

It has been 20 years since Ive seen Marty and Jill Jemison and hey! they look the same! still as young, have a new addition-Atlas, their 9 year old daughter, and still enthusiastic about cycling, sunshine, and I'm off for an excellent week in the pyrenees!

Sooo!! I was supposed to keep a current update on our tour but for various reasons I wasn't able too! Had a fantastic group from the US, Vancouver (or van as they say), and various riding experiences which all made for good fun and great stories. Important note is that everyone had a good taste for red wine which is always a bonus after a few climbs...
The firt few days were brutally hot-we started our tour in St Lary-riding to Arreau over the peyresourde and up to the gpm line of port de Bales where we watched Contador sail over the top with a 13 second gap on Schleck...The ambiance was typical TDF-caravans from belge, holland, uk, italy, spain with all kinds of bbq's, festivities, etc....

Toulouse Marathon

What a day that was! Last sunday I set off at 8h45am to run my first (non injured) marathon. I took off with my training partner, Arnaud, who I had broken my semi record with a few weeks prior and we opted to set off on a 4.10 per kilo pace which would have us finish in just under 3h. All started well, at the 5kms mark we were spot on, at 9kms though Arnaud started to fade a tad but hung on until the 10kms mark when he told me he wasnt well. For anyone who's run before it sucks mentally leaving someone your'e comfortable running with and have raced with before behind but he's a tough cookie and will bounce back soon enough. I pushed on and soon had a small group of 6-7 runners who were all on the same pace as me. We hit the semi in 1h28 and I felt good though I made a mental note to myself that between kms 22 and 32 it would be wise not to accelerate....As we continued on after the 21kms point we were on a plateau and could see groups spitting out runners ahead.
